If you are a "Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)," you are in the minority and only make up approximately 20% of the population. What this means is that many things can affect you more than the average person. This could be anything from pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food additives, etc. Things as "simple" as a colonoscopy procedure could affect you more. It is best that you are aware of this so you can choose based on your own benefits and risks instead of what has been determined for you based on the average person.

A Special Note about Highly Sensitive Men
If you scored as highly sensitive on the self test, then perhaps this is something brand new to you. There are actually just as many highly sensitive men as there are women. The challenge for men is that our society does not support their expression of emotions in the same way as it does women. You may have been told as a child that "big boys don't cry" or "be a man" or "man up." It is not only normal to express emotions, but also healthy to do so. Many men may find themselves at a loss on how to do this. There are many ways to learn how to embrace your sensitivity. One sure fire way to that end is to allow yourself to cry. Tears can be very opening, healing and cleansing. So if in doubt, just cry and be ok with it. You will be surprised how much better you will feel. It's all in the release and tears are an effective way to do it.

As a highly sensitive person and an empath, I am well equipped to assist you in navigating these unique waters. I am here to support you. If you find yourself resonating with one or both of these, there is no need to feel all alone and misunderstood. You are a beautiful flower just waiting to blossom and bloom. Don’t wait! Find your empowerment today!
